Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Character Descriptions:
CHILDREN'S CHORUS: Male-identifying/ Female-identifying. Minimum age 9; maximum age 15. Seeking strong singers. Part singing is also required for the show. Children’s Choir’ male voices cannot have changed. Children's Choir may be double-cast. Children’s Choir will appear onstage while singing and will have limited onstage action.
Materials to Prepare:
For consideration, sides from the show will be sent to you which include two solo numbers and two group harmony sections. Please be familiar with the show and prepared with the music, although we will review all the numbers. An accompanist will be provided. Acapella singing will NOT be allowed. Please bring an updated headshot/picture and resume.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Production Dates:
Rehearsals – First Rehearsal Saturday, October 6, 2018 – Friday, November 9, 2018: Children’s Choir will rehearse one to two days per week (either a weekday hours between 7:00pm-9:00pm or a weekend day hours between 10:00am-4:00pm) for the month of October and more frequently after that until tech week. Days/times to be determined based on final casting and actor/creative team availability. Tech Rehearsals – Saturday, November 10, 2018 – Monday, November 12, 2018: Actors with multiple tech week conflicts may not be under consideration. Previews & Performances – Tuesday, November 13, 2018 – Saturday, December 23, 2018 (with a possible extension through Sunday, December 30, 2018): Previews on November 13-15 are at 7:30pm. Standard performance schedule includes 7:30pm on Thursdays, 8:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 3:00pm on Sundays. Also includes 1:00pm matinees on Wednesday, November 28; Wednesday, December 5; Saturday, December 22; and Sunday, December 23. From December 18-23, 2018, performances will also be at 7:00pm. How to submit: Please email the child or teen’s current headshot/picture, resume and questions with JOSEPH AUDITIONS in the header to Metropolis Casting at casting@metropolisarts.com with your audition request. Include your full name, phone number, and name of parent. The actors will be assigned an audition group time of 9:00am, 9:30am, 10:00am, 10:30am, 11:00am, or 11:30am based on the available remaining slots.
