Education Student Spotlight:

Ollie Coalson

Ollie entered the world with a theatrical flair, and began giving Disney-themed performances for his family at just 3 years old. After seeing Matilda Jr. at Citadel, he joined Citadel’s youth programs when his family moved to the area in late 2022, and has been in love with it since. His breakout role was Jojo in Seussical the Musical, and he especially enjoyed his more recent comedic role as Gingy in Shrek Jr.

Citadel has given Ollie not only a place to grow as a performer, but also a community of friends and the confidence to find his voice after early speech challenges. His family is deeply grateful for the encouragement, opportunities, and passion Citadel brings to young actors in the North Shore and surrounding area.

When he’s not on stage or rehearsing, Ollie enjoys learning new K-Pop dances, singing songs from Hamilton, playing Roblox, discovering new music, or spending time with family and friends. He’s excited to continue his theater journey with Citadel in The Lightning Thief this August. Ollie is starting Fourth grade in the fall at Lake Bluff Elementary.
