As part of our monthly Education Student Spotlight, we highlight students who shine in our programs and continue to grow in inspiring ways. This month, we are thrilled to celebrate Wesley Goodspeed.
Wesley got his start in 2022 as one of Fritz’s friends in The Nutcracker. Earning his first role at Citadel in 2024 gave him the confidence to make theatre a bigger part of his life. He played Jack in Into the Woods Jr. and Charlie in Wonka Jr., followed by Roger in Grease and Percy in The Lightning Thief. He’s now rehearsing as Hiccup in How to Train Your Dragon Jr. and is a proud founding member of Citadel’s Youth Ensemble Troupe.
Wesley loves the shows Citadel chooses and the care that goes into bringing each one to life on its distinctive stage. Erin, Grey, Chris and the rest of the team have taught him both the craft of performing and how to make a character his own. What he looks forward to most at rehearsal is seeing his friends. He’s made new ones in every cast, and he loves getting to pass along the experience he once needed a castmate to give him.
We are so proud of all that Wesley has accomplished in our program and cannot wait to watch him continue to grow!
