Pamela Niespodziani, Russell Ramstrom, and Kim Reuter The spirit of a bygone era is evoked as you join the studio audience on December 21, 1942, for a live broadcast of The Mutual Manhattan Variety Cavalcade.
Dozens of old favorites are performed while a harassed producer copes with a drunk lead singer, the delivery boy who wants a chance in front of the mike, the waitress who dreams of being a star, and the trumpet playing sound effects man who chooses a fighter plane over Glenn Miller.
Songs include Chattanooga Choo Choo, Blues In The Night, Old Black Magic, I Got It Bad, Blue Moon, Sentimental Journey, and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.
