When Sam Hendrix agrees to keep a doll for a stranger, he sets off a chain of events that lead to a terrifying ordeal for his blind wife Susy. The doll hides something that an evil group of con men will stop at nothing to retrieve. When Sam is away, they try to coax Susy into revealing the location of the doll. Despite their best efforts they make little headway, and decide to take a more sinister approach to getting what they want. A Broadway hit, this masterfully constructed thriller moves from one moment of suspense to another.
