An expertly crafted satire, voted 'Best Off-Broadway Play' in 1989 by the Outer Critics Circle. This witty tale of opposites concerns a small-town company trying to survive in a dying industry, and the corporate raider who specializes in liquefying them. Wall Street takeover artist Lawrence Garfinkle's computer is going tilt over the undervalued stock of New England Wire & Cable. If the stockholders back his takeover, they will make a bundle, but what will happen to the 1200 employees and the community when he liquidates the assets? And what happens when sparks fly between him and the female attorney opposing him? "Other People's Money" is a biting social commentary that is as timely as today's financial news.
