Puppetry Workshop March 17 and 18 |
| Ages 8 - 14 |
A two-day workshop where kids will learn fundamentals of puppetry performance including animation, synchronization, and story-telling. They will build their own puppets using common household items and learn to create characters for the stage, which will be exhibited in a short performance at the end.

Erik Wagner
Erik is a professional puppeteer who was recently a lead character in Tapestry of Dreams at Epcot Center in Walt Disney World. He is an ensemble member of Von Orthal Puppets, where he builds and performs with puppets and teaches classes in both areas. Erik has been working primarily with youth theater for the last six years and has directed numerous productions around the city including The Little Mermaid and Pinocchio with Steel Beam Theater. While in Nashville, where he earned his BA in Theatre from Belmont University, he was a member of John Holleman’s Mask Ensemble. He currently performs for American Eagle Productions in ten of their touring shows including as John Adams in 1776 and the Boy in Where the Sidewalk Ends. He directed their production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and wrote the new show being added this year, The Civil War: History and Harmony.
